R&D is a core focus of our business. Focus ranges from reducing costs in social housing to developing the ‘E-house’; a novel, environmentally friendly design.
Current research and development activity that we are undertaking here at EOS include;
Social housing
Reducing costs in social housing. This is set high on our agenda and we are working closely with partners to anticipate methods by where we can reduce costs in the construction process.
Pod solutions
We are carrying out R&D to develop new pod solutions with channel partners. Such research will enable us to work more proficiently to ensure less time on site, and faster construction of projects.
The E-house
The E-house concept, constructed of light gauge steel frame, will enable the industry to reduce carbon footprint, but continue manufacturing high quality, sustainable end products. The E-house model will incorporate a drive towards ‘building a greener future’, the government initiative incorporating energy/carbon standards set out in the Code into Future Building Regulations and code for sustainable dwellings.
