Exploring UK’s use of Light Steel Frame with the SCI (Steel Construction Institute)

EOS have contracted strategic marketing consultancy ‘think M.’ to explore drivers and barriers to uptake of light steel frame systems in the UK. The survey is supported by the SCI (Steel Construction Institute).

EOS is working to contact over 5000 building contractors who are potential users of ‘offsite’ engineering solutions to discover their perceptions of the technology.

Michael O’Connell said:

‘We have had a spectacular year in terms of sales growth, and our systems are now being used across the UK. Given this, we recognise we’re just seeing the tip of the iceberg in terms of the potential demand, and that the benefits of Light Steel Frame are not necessarily understood by everybody. We need to better understand how best to support understanding and awareness’.

Mr Bassam, Director of the SCI suggested:

‘We support EOS in educating the market about the benefits of modern methods of manufacture. We are interested to see if the results indicate understanding of the environmental benefits.’
